CC of IC 2006

Finnaly we have picture all together. Just enjoy it.

and our logo, which is the best!

Almost 2 weeks since I left India...

... and I want to come back. Seriously I have never imagined that I would have missed India so much. NEVER! I'm sitting now and watching all the pictures that I have on 2 dvd's and my CD's and listening Kajra Re in background. Belive me but it's very difficult to imagin that you are already in your country, in your home, working on your computer. Everyday I chat with somebody from CC on MSN and try to recall all events, and hours that we spent together... I have to say thank you guys for every minute in India!!!

Now, I know that I will come back to India, to these places that I visited, people that i was living, working, having fun (etc.) with. I can't describe it.

it's time to go sleep... good night my friends!

Jaipur, 3rd corner of 'Golden Triangle'

I have never know before come here that my city (Agra) is one of the famous corner of Golden Triangle in India. Everybody knows Taj Mahal, but actually, apart from this there?s nothing else here. But the third city of triangle is JAIPUR, where we went last Sunday.

Few people from ER Team decided to go there and sightseeing this place because everybody says that it?s really worth. I joined them and without any doubts. In addition, group of Indian guys went with us, because for them it was good occasion to go to their home and make a laundry. Finally our group was composed from around 10 people, our Central and Eastern Europe corner: me (Poland), Danka (Czech Republic), Maurice (Germany), Olga (Ukraine) and Paolo (Brazil), from India: Naomi, Adil, Sankalp, Harish, Amit. But only non-indian people was visiting Jaipur and Adil as a tour guide (thank you so much Adil!).

We was going all the night and we reached city around 5 in the morning and went directly to Adils house. It was really good, Indian style, with house service, garden inside. I like it very much. And finally I had the chance to eat breakfast from Indian house, sitting in the table etc.! Not in the hotel.

The city was different. What I noticed was the fact that the city was much cleaner than Agra. On the street there were pavements, streets were larger and there were much more cars.

We visited a lot of places, but my memory isn?t so good to remember any word in hindi language.

In Jaipur we got hidden goal ? Mc Donalds. Yes, everybody was thinking about BigMac and other dishes from this lovely place. But, what it turned out? all the burgers are with? chicken. What?s the fuck up! Who knows that Mc Donalds in India doesn?t provide burged with meat. Anyway, McChicken isn?t so bad so everybody bought it without any consideration. And what is surprising that menu cost only 99 Rs. (equivalent 2 Euro). Only I regret that we haven?t got it in Agra. I would be there every day.

[PL] Lot do Indii

Monachium
---------

Dotarlem do bramki H44... Wczoraj caly dzien z nim gadalem o Indiach etc. Fajnie to wyglada, wszystko takie nowe i ladne. Jest duzo przestrzeni na tym lotnisku. Podeszla wlasnien do mnie jakas mloda niemka, nawet niezla broszka i chciala zrobic ankiete. Takie pierdoly o lataniu, gdzie i skad lece. Lufthansa robi badania marketingowe. Lepiej by sobie naprawili kurde sysmetem elektoniczny, zeby potem takie jazdy z biletami nie bylo.

Wielka, zmiesci sie do niej full ludzi. Cudenko. Takimi maszynami to ja moge latac. Male odpadaja.

[EN] hospital sheela inn

Pizza hut! :)

We had idea to do not sitting in Hotel and talking about the topic, but we went to Pizza Hut, to the city. Everybody was so happy of this, so we wanted to realize this idea immediatly. We took a riksha. It lasted about 15 minutes, so distance was really long. But the most impressive thing is our back trip. Sneha (indian girl) took 2 rikshas for our group. Cooming back by rikshas, the driver ask ous if we had visited one shop we would have had discount for taxis. Because we had the time, we stoped for a while to go to the shop with carpects. It wasn't nothing special, typical indians art. But the next proposal was much better. If we had visited next store, we would have this trip for free. There's nobody who was against. Really, it was worth visiting. It was so luxurious place, with 4 floors, with AC and really good services. I found some things for me to buy. That's why we spent in the shops 0,5h but the trip was for free.

The streets
-----------

At the one moment you see one thing. All streets are dirty. There's a lot of dust, cars, people and... cows. What is the most irritating thing is the people "from the street"

The hospital Sheela
-------------------

Yesterday it started call our place not 'hotel' but 'hospital' because of illnesses. About 20 people (from 59) are sick. Remember that in CC there're about 20 indians so they're healthy. It turned out that in our dishes there's bactery. No doubts I belive it because I see the condition where the food are prepared. Apart from this everybody has to clean the plates after eating. For me, it's inacteptable, I didn't come for Developpment Traineeship. fortunatly I'm okey. I'm not sick yet. But who knows what will happend. In the evening the doctor came to check what was going on. Later, we had the meeting with him so we could ask him for everything that we needed to know about precautions in India, and belive me, there're a lot of them. Before I do something, alwas I ask an indian guy if it's okey.

Illness (28.07)
----------------

Today time is for me. I've started be sick. Fever when outside there's 40 degress is horrible. All the night I couldn't fall asleep for a minute and I must have been looking at the walls with insects on them. I took medicaments which helped me fortunetly quite quickly. Even I have no idea what was is exactely, even Chris didn't know. For sure there were an antybiothic with and 2 other tablers for 3 days. It cost me 750 Rs. It's a lot, esspecially compering to polish conditions.

[PL] Przygladajac sie juz dokladniej

Dzisiaj poznalem troche Agre. Marmury, doskonala obsluga, piekne widoki i zajebiscie wysokie ceny. Mnie tylko stac bylo na wode mineralna. mamy troche zdjec wiec mozecie sobie popodziwiac to miejsce.

Transport

Poznalem tez dzisiaj inne srodki transportu: autoriksze i konne riksze. Do zwiedzenia zostaly mi jeszcze motocykle :) Konna riksza jest tansza, bo wolniej jedzie. A szoferami u nas byly dzieciaki w wieku 8 lat.

Podlaczyli rekaw do samolotu, wysiedlismy. Juz zaczynalem czuc goroco. Ale nie bylo jeszcze zle. Szybko doszedlem do bagadu, poczekalem jakies 25 minut, dostalem go i do odprawy celnej. Wszyscy mi mowili zeby brac pre-paid taxi (czyli najpierw placisz w budce, potem jedziesz wskazana taksowka). Wyszlismy z lotniska a tu buch... fala zajebiscie goracego i wilgotnego powietrza. Myslalem ze od razu sie tam poloze. DO tego jeszcze specyficzny zapach. To mi najbardziej przeszkadza w Indiach - powietrze i zapach. Poprostu wszystko mi tu smierdzi. Ludzi tez, no bo kazdy sie poci caly czas. I tak nas zawiozl w jedno miejsce, cos w rodzaju agencji, w ktorej mozna by bylo kupic bilet. Oczywiscie byletow nie bylo, wiec dupa. Kazalismy nas zawiesc na dworzec. Dojechalismy. Boze, dworzec tragedia. No nic, nie chcieli nas wpuscic do kas, bo trzeba zostawic bagaze. Kosztowlo nas to 100 euro.

0 day to go! Ostro men!

It's the morning, sunday. I hope that I have already packed everything. I'm thinking about every small thing that I will need in India. After checking weight of my bag, it turned out that I could put more clothes inside, that's why I'm so happy :) You know what I mean.

I'm getting nervous a bit. Time is passing and there're only few hours to go to the airport Okecie. Really I'm affraid this journey. I know that everything will be okey but I don't like this kind of travel. Alone, first time by plane etc. What makes me happy a bit is fact that I will take beautiful pictures. My new camera is excellent. You'll see.

Yesterday, fortunately Abhishek (Indian guy from MC House) made me calm talking about traveling in India. He showed me trains, scheduled and what should I do at the Railway station. Ahhh, one more thing that I forgot to mention. From Airport to Railway station we are going alone. We, because one guy from Estonia is comming 4h before my flight, so he is going to wait for me :))) Thanks to him! So we are going by pre-taxi through New Delhi. It will take us about 1-1,5h. Small city :> Somebody told me that Delhi is 6x much bigger than Warsaw. Okey, no comments. Pre-paid taxi is cool idea. First, you are paying for the distance and that you are going. Fortunetly, it's not possible to be taken in by taxi driver. All right, let's hope that everything will be okey.

Greetings from Marki
